“We are proud to be recognized for our strategy and creativity in one of the most exciting campaign seasons in a generation," said Thomas Mills, founder and President of Thomas Mills Communications. “We are glad that our work made a difference in this important election year.”

The piece was part of a successful independent expenditure campaign by Service Employees International Union (SEIU) on behalf of North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue. The Reeds recognizes excellence in campaign management, political consulting, political strategy and design, and will bestow honors in categories for television ads, direct mail, GOTV operation, collaboration and technology.

“The pool of finalists for this year’s Reed Awards reflect not only the growing professionalization of the industry, but also how new campaign technologies are opening this marketplace to an increasingly diverse community,” said Politics publisher Jordan Lieberman.
