Congressional District AZ-01
Geographically, Arizona’s First Congressional District is larger than the state’s other seven districts combined. The district is the tenth largest in the country and encompasses the majority of the state to the north and west of the Phoenix/Tempe metropolitan area. It is a difficult place to campaign as the largest media market in the district is Flagstaff, a city of about 60,000, and the district is roughly the size of Georgia.

Congressional District WI-8
In 2006, in one of the most competitive open seats in the country, Dr. Steve Kagen, a first-time candidate, defeated Wisconsin’s Republican Speaker of the House John Gard 51% to 49% in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District. The race two years ago was considered one of the nastiest in the nation. This year may well be a repeat in one of the most contested seats that the Democrats need to protect.

Congressional District NY-26
With the retirement of Republican Congressman Tom Reynolds, New York’s 26th Congressional District has become one of the top open seats in the country. Over the last 10 years or so the region has lost much of its manufacturing base and suffered high unemployment. Though the district is conservative, voters are looking for a change.

District NC-08
North Carolina's 8th Congressional District is predominantly rural and stretches 90 miles through 10 counties. It's bordered by Fayetteville on the east and Charlotte on the west. The district has three distinct regions: Fayetteville and the Fort Bragg region that incorporates Hoke County; Charlotte and the three adjacent counties that are more suburban; and five very rural, very working class counties between the two.
